Jon Licata has had a varied and interesting life and career. As he put it, “You have to follow your heart as often as your head, because if your not having fun and doing what your passionate about, why do it?”
Jon grew up in western New York and was recruited by Clarkson University where he played Division I hockey and Division III soccer while pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then followed the dictum, “Go west young man” and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

Among his many accomplishments in business, Jon has co-founded two start-up companies and was specifically recruited to salvage a third. He has completed business and real estate transactions as buyer, seller and intermediary, and has raised millions of dollars for various businesses over the past eight years.

At the young age of twenty-three, Jon raised the required capital to co-produce and co-star in the award winning, independent film TAP WATER. His efforts garnered him Best New Film Maker at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in May of 1999. Recently, negotiations on another feature film script LOWRIDER were completed and production is slated within the next five years.

In late 1999, Jon co-founded Iswag.com, Inc. They raised $3.6 million in investment capital and developed the first supply-chain management software platform for logo branded merchandise.

In late 2000, Jon found a new challenge and joined the then struggling Ivenue.com, Inc. There he was quickly promoted to Vice President of Business Development for the creation and innovation of a national reseller network. Under his leadership, the failing business turned profitable, generating over $2.4 million in gross monthly revenue and doing business on two continents.

Having successfully invested in the Las Vegas real estate market and recognizing its immense potential, Jon decided to pursue his own business in real estate investments and sales. He became a Realtor in 2003 and formed Jon Licata Ltd. Since then, he has generated over $6M in gross sales for the 2004 calendar year, a success less than 3% of Realtors in the United States have achieved. In the first two quarters of 2005 Jon has successfully closed and been a part of over $16M in gross sales of commercial, land, and residential property. He is currently one of the developers of mini-storage facilities in the Las Vegas Valley and has plans to build The National Roller Hockey Center together with Dan Corsetea, owner of the Las Vegas Roller Hockey Center. Jon is currently building a team of young, intelligent, and aggressive real estate agents who can serve your Las Vegas and Henderson real estate needs. Among his many personal accomplishments, Jon is trained in Shaolin Kung Fu, and obtained the rank of Shodan at the Shaolin Temple in China. Other favorite activities of his include weight training, hockey and golf. In 2004 he signed a contract and received confirmation that he was a finalist for FEAR FACTOR. Filming took place in August of last year and Jon became the 2004 Fear Factor Christmas Champion, taking home the grand prize of $50,000.
